According to talkSPORT, former Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling is close to completing a move to Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord this week. However, due to his work permit still not being approved, he has yet to train with his new teammates.

Having not played a single minute for the Blues this season, it is easy to understand Sterling’s eagerness to return to action. Unfortunately, things have not gone as planned. Reports suggest that Feyenoord are still awaiting approval of his work permit, meaning the 31-year-old is currently unable to train or compete for the Dutch club until the permit is granted.
Feyenoord will undoubtedly hope Sterling can make his debut as soon as possible. Managed by Robin van Persie, the Rotterdam side currently sit second in the Eredivisie table but trail leaders PSV Eindhoven by 17 points. They are set to host Go Ahead Eagles this weekend, though the match may come too soon for Sterling. His first opportunity to feature could instead arrive next weekend when Feyenoord welcome Telstar in league action.
